To determine the proper spreader setting for your Scotts spreader when applying our fertilizer, you need to know the amount of product you need to apply per 1,000 sqft.

Overseeding Rate:  4-6 lbs. of grass seed per 1,000 sqft.

New Lawn Installation: 10 lbs. of grass seed per 1,000 sqft

It's important to note that all spreaders might behave slightly differently, so it might be beneficial to start with a lower setting to prevent running out of product too early. Gradually increase the setting as needed to ensure even coverage.  Also, it is best to portion out the bag to areas of your lawn so that you can adjust on the fly.
