When is the best time to fertilize newly seeded lawns?Updated 25 days ago

For freshly seeded lawns, we recommend fertilizing with 15-20-10 starter fertilizer at 4-5 lbs. per 1,000 sqft. at the time of seeding. 

Afterward, when the new seedlings have matured (4-5 weeks), as part of the fall routine, 20-0-10 Almighty fertilizer at 4-5lbs per 1,000 sqft. should be applied.  This application will greatly increase turf density and dark green color. 

Additionally, another round of 20-0-10 Almighty fertilizer should be applied 6 weeks after to feed the lawn throughout the winter and support seedling growth.
