To get the best results from your fertilizer, it’s important to apply the right amount based on your lawn size—not your total lot size.
✅ Best Practice: Apply 4–5 lbs of Fertilizer per 1,000 sq ft
We recommend applying most of our fertilizers at 5 lbs per 1,000 square feet. This ensures the fertilizer pearls are spread evenly, providing consistent nutrition across your lawn.
- 4–5 lbs per 1,000 sq ft = optimal application
- 3 lbs per 1,000 sq ft or less = lighter coverage with limited results
💡 Examples of Nutrient Delivery at 5 lbs per 1,000 sq ft:
Fertilizer | Nitrogen (N) | Phosphorus (P) | Potassium (K) |
---|---|---|---|
10-0-20 | 0.5 lb | 0 lb | 1.0 lb |
20-0-10 | 1.0 lb | 0 lb | 0.5 lb |
15-20-10 | 0.75 lb | 1.0 lb | 0.5 lb |
📏 How Much Do You Need?
Always measure the size of your lawn, not your entire property. You can use a lawn measuring tool or satellite tool HERE.
Sample Lawn Sizes and Fertilizer Needed:
- 10,000 sq ft lawn → apply 50 lbs of fertilizer
- 5,000 sq ft lawn → apply 25 lbs of fertilizer
If you apply too little, the product may not deliver the full nutrient benefits. If you apply too much, you risk over-fertilizing and wasting product.
